As a physician in the Valley for over ten years, Dr. O’Connor has endorsed a comprehensive, compassionate, and multimodal approach to pain control.  In creating Innovative Pain and Wellness, Dr. O’Connor has merged the best qualities of large-scale, cutting-edge medicine and boutique style one-on-one patient care.

A Chicago native, Dr. O’Connor graduated from Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine. He then went on to train with the prestigious department of anesthesiology at Northwestern University. He specialized in regional anesthesia training under thought leaders in the field. Ultimately he was honored as Chief Resident at Northwestern University.

After completing his training, he felt compelled to move to his favorite childhood state, Arizona. He was offered a position in the Valley as a regional anesthesiologist. After much success in providing excellent care as an anesthesiologist he was granted positions on the board of directors in his group, as well as granted the position of Medical Director of Greenbaum Specialty Hospital with Honor Health.

Although difficult to leave that position, many years ago Dr. O’Connor felt a calling to do more to help patients with acute and chronic pain. He furthered his education with a fellowship in interventional pain management. Dr. O’Connor’s commitment is to a multimodal, comprehensive, compassionate, and holistic approach to increasing his patients’ quality of life and decreasing their pain so that they may enjoy life!

He continued his medical training at UCLA by completing a residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation followed by a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Pain Management. Dr. Givens strives to provide an innovative treatment approach to musculoskeletal medicine and interventional pain management. He is dedicated to building an understanding of each patient’s unique needs so that he can provide high-quality care.

Before joining Innovative Injury Solutions, Dr. Chowdhary played a key role in establishing the Overlake Neuroscience Institute at Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, WA. He served as the Neuroscience Director until 2021.

Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Chowdhary pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin. He obtained his Medical Degree from The Ohio State University, followed by his internship and residency at The University of Washington. His global experience includes an international fellowship at Atkinson-Morley Hospital in London. Subsequently, he undertook a two-year fellowship at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles before returning to the Northwest.

Dr. Chowdhary holds memberships in several prestigious medical associations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgery (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgery (CNS), CNS Section on Tumors and Vascular, the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery (SNIS), and the North American Spine Society (NASS). He has also served as the past President of the Washington State Association of Neurological Surgery.

Prior to joining Innovative Pain and Wellness, Dr. Arora served as the Lead Chiropractor for The CORE Institute. He currently serves as a Chiropractor for the Texas Rangers Major League Baseball Club, along with working with multiple professional and collegiate athletes in many sports. In addition to his chiropractic work, he operates an Education, Wellness and Stretch & Flexibility Program for multiple companies, including Arizona Public Service (APS).

Dr. Arora obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West and received his bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Arizona. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and the American Back Society.

In his over 15 years in practice, Dr. Wiegand has cultivated a uniquely effective approach to patient care by utilizing a combination of Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Dry Needling, and Rehab techniques.

As a nationally accredited lecturer, he also shares his experience with treating severe pain cases that include neuropathic pain, post-surgical, and those injured in motor vehicle accidents, with his profession.

Dr. Wiegand has provided relief to his community for many years. As a second-generation Chiropractic Physician, Dr. Wiegand is dedicated to helping people return to doing the things they love, pain-free and as quickly as possible. Rooted in scientific evidence, Dr. Wiegand integrates his Physiology background from the University of Arizona to deliver care proven to be at the forefront of what's safe and effective.

Dr. Gran is one of the few physical therapists in the Valley to have specialized exclusively in personal injury upon graduation of school where he developed and built up the first physical therapy department with Summit Health Medical Physical Therapy. He brings nearly 3 years of hands-on experience to this organization where he has personally treated and returned to function many hundreds of acute injury patients. He has acquired certifications in dynamic integrative dry needling and as a functional movement specialist in combination with his development of high-level manual therapy techniques and spinal treatment.

A native of Seattle, Washington, he has resided in Phoenix since 2013 where he has brought his avid appreciation for the outdoors and overall health and fitness lifestyle to his patients through extremely passionate and thorough personal care and restoration of the quality of their own lives. 

After graduating from Western Kentucky University, he moved to Phoenix where he became Director of Rehabilitation in an inpatient sub-acute facility. He later transitioned into the role of Clinic Director in an outpatient physical therapy clinic. In this setting, he was able to better express his passion for helping individuals with neck and back pain, dizziness, and concussions. Already a spinal specialist and manual trigger point therapy specialist, he began his journey to also becoming a vestibular specialist and has helped resolve pain and dizziness for Mesa area patients since 2019.

Dr. Marlow joined Innovative Injury Solutions in December 2022 excited to bring his skills in vestibular, spine, and manual trigger point therapy to personal injury patients in need. 

In his free time, Dr. Marlow enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters, and dogs. He can often be heard saying “whatever my wife has planned is what we are doing,” and “GO CHIEFS!” 

Michael was selected for the Physician Assistant program at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ which matriculates only 90 students out of more than 1500 qualified applicants. He completed the program and earned both National and Arizona Board certification in 2012 and has been serving Arizona patients ever since. Michael practiced primarily Urgent Care medicine for the first 5 years of his career before deciding to serve exclusively in Pain Management from 2017 to the present. He has a multimodal approach to treating patients’ chronic pain and has many years of experience performing a variety of in-office procedures. He is thorough and seeks an accurate diagnosis before pairing it with the most effective treatment. He is a capable pain medicine prescriber who strives for safety and efficacy at all times. The treatment plan may include advanced procedures performed by our Physicians, Physical Therapy, or Chiropractic care, and Michael coordinates these on an individual basis.

Michael has a sincere desire to be a part of each patient’s journey toward regaining and maintaining mobility and living life to the fullest extent possible. When not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring Arizona.

She practiced in Family Medicine for 10 years also serving as the Assistant Medical Director for a Community Health Center. She then relocated to Arizona in 2011 and transitioned her career to focus on pain management. Amy brings many years of experience providing care to help patients improve their function and quality of life. She is dedicated to educating the patient about their diagnosis and creating a comprehensive, individualized approach to treating their pain.

Jessica started her Nurse Practitioner career in Pain Management. She worked for four years in Pain Management and the subsequent three years in Orthopedic Surgery. Jessica then returned back to Pain Management and has been providing one-on-one, individual care to patients ever since.

Her collegiate academic awards include: Phi Eta Sigma National Honorary Society, Golden Key Honor Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Phi Kappa Phi Honorary, Gamma Sigma Alpha Greek Honorary Society, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honorary Society, Beta Mu Chapter, Dean’s List with Distinction from the College of Humanities, Dean’s List with Distinction from the College of Nursing, and Academic Distinction Award from the College of Humanities.

She has been a nurse practitioner for 15 years in the fields of pain management and orthopedics. She is licensed to practice in Arizona but holds national certification as well.

In her free time, Jessica loves hiking in Arizona’s mountains, spending time with loved ones, traveling, and reading.

Dr. Shqeirat was inspired to become a physical therapist after witnessing his father suffer from chronic back pain and discovering a remedy for his pain through physical therapy. He loves discovering the underlying mechanics of what may cause pain and exploring rehabilitation methods to help individuals return to doing what they love.

Dr. Shqeirat’s future goal is to pursue a fellowship in manual therapy and become fluent in Spanish. When he is not learning, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and spending his days outdoors (when it’s not too hot, of course).

Patricia Martinez is a board-certified family nurse practitioner known for her unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch healthcare to diverse populations. With a robust background in hospice and palliative care spanning five years, she brings a unique depth of empathy and experience to her role at Arc Medical. Her intensive experience working with patients during critical life moments has profoundly shaped her understanding of the essential values of compassion, dignity, and respect in healthcare.

Patricia is fervently dedicated to enhancing health outcomes and advocating for the rights of her patients. Her advocacy efforts are particularly focused on meeting the healthcare needs of the Hispanic community, though her care extends to all patients she serves. Patricia adopts a holistic approach to healthcare, addressing the physical, emotional, and social aspects of patient wellness. 

Patricia is enthusiastic about using her position as an advanced practice registered nurse to extend her influence within the healthcare field. Her rich background in specialized care, combined with her commitment to serving a diverse client base, renders her an indispensable part of the Arc Medical team. More than just a healthcare provider, Patricia is a staunch advocate for her patients, constantly striving to improve care quality and ensure that every individual feels valued and thoroughly supported. 

Patricia graduated with honors from Morningside University in Sioux City, IA, showcasing her dedication and hard work. An active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, she continues to stay at the cutting edge of nursing education and practice, always seeking to expand her knowledge and expertise.

Fluent in both English and Spanish and proud of her Hispanic heritage, Patricia is uniquely positioned to advocate for and serve the Hispanic community and beyond. Her cultural background and language skills allow her to engage effectively with patients, making certain they are fully understood and supported throughout their healthcare experiences.
